1) Caroline is rocking on hands and knees... yes, already. I'm surprised, actually, because Gwen didn't do this until like 8 months.
2) Caroline adores the johnny jumper we got from a friend--- as soon as her toes touch the ground her face lights up and the big grin doesn't disappear for about 20 minutes.
2) Gwen has entered the "why" stage with full force. (Honey, do you REALLY want to know why the sun goes down? or why the car needs gas instead of coal and water?)
3) Gwen has also entered the "no, mommy, I do it myself" stage in the past few days. and for the most part, she does a really good job doing whatever it is herself. Except wipe. She still wants me to do that. figures.
4) Gwen's verbal confidence has increased with her physical confidence. She kind of likes to tell us what to do. a lot. So far it hasn't been disrespectful, but that 'first-child-bossy-tendency' is definitely alive and well in our girl.
in other words, our house is gettin pretty crazy.... :P
bonus story for your tickling pleasure:
Gwen was taking a bath.
Eric was... ahem... using the restroom discreetly turned away from her.
All she knew was that he WASN'T sitting down.
She declared:
"Daddy! You pee pee out you belly button!"
hilarious, no?

ReplyDeleteMy kids all ask the why questions. A long time ago I started giving them the real answers. The other day McKay, who is 2, asked what the sky was. So I told him it was the atmosphere that helped protect our planet from space. Dallin laughed, but McKay just sat there and took it all in. I really believe their little spirits understand so much more than we give them credit for.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with Robin's comment...kids understand so much! But, on the funny side, I love Gwen's comment about Eric peeing out of his belly button. AWESOME. I'm excited for the jumping stage. Once Mackenzie's neck is strong enough, we'll get that out! She just barely decided she wanted to start trying to roll over. I'm hoping she'll take a little while.
ReplyDeleteROFL......so funny! And how quickly they change!!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, L is so bossy too! He definitely knows what needs to happen, and gets very annoyed if things don't go his way. Yikes. I'm in for it! Miss you!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, the pee pee story had me laughing pretty hard. Kids say the funniest things. Thanks for the good laugh!
